Confidence.
Craft. Career.

I love actors.

I have ALWAYS wanted to be one.

When I was a kid growing up in Washington, DC, I would walk to school rehearsing monologues out loud. I attended Duke Ellington School of the Arts, where I didn't get cast in a single play. Not one. (They get annoyed when I tell that story, but it's true!)

I was an usher for every production. And my parents, who were endlessly supportive, came to every single show just to see me usher.

I loved being in the theater. Even when I wasn't on the stage, I knew that was where I belonged.

All these years later, I still feel that way.

It has been my honor and privilege to make a life as an actor, and just as importantly, to serve other actors.

Whether I'm teaching at SUNY Purchase, directing actors in the films we make at NYU's Stonestreet Studios, working on a professional set, or coaching someone privately or in a group, I bring everything I've learned from every stage, screen, rehearsal room, and audition room I've ever been in. And I'm still in those rooms. Still working. Still learning. Still asking questions.

Because that's what I do. I ask a lot of questions.

I'm always looking for ways to connect more deeply, to move past fear, to be more present, and to help other artists discover something truthful and unexpected in themselves.

I believe in making space for the work. Space to be still, to listen, to take risks, to fail, to surprise ourselves, and to begin again.

I want actors to trust their instincts, make clear, courageous choices, and find the freedom to bring all of who they are into the room.

I love stories. I love pictures. I love heroes.

And I love actors.

Education

Grounded in craft.

Not everyone needs to go to grad school or major in drama in college. I did both, and I had the student loans to prove it.

Yes, I’m grounded in that craft. But my training also came from years of study after school, with acting coaches, classes, and workshops. I still take them.

My craft gives me confidence.

Experience in practice.

Working on set is a tricky thing. You have to be ready, flexible and open. No one really cares what your craft is; they want you to do the job. Sometimes actors get stuck on set. That’s when I get the call.

As a working actor, I bring real-world experience from stage, screen, and the audition room to every session—helping you make clear choices and approach your work with confidence.

“On a good day, I ask a lot of questions. to discover a way to connect more deeply, past my fear, in my own work/directing/work facilitating other artists and to share it all.

To be still daily. Create time & space to live inside myself, show up in a new more fully present way.

I love stories, pictures, and heroes.”
